Noosa is located 90 minutes north of Brisbane International Airport, and is the most northerly of Australia's east coast surf locations. Noosa is  a world class resort village with boutiques, bars and restaurants right on the beach. 

The whole of Noosa Shire is a declared fauna and flora reserve. From the peak of Noosa National park miles of  rolling bushland, rainforest, rivers, lakes and ocean beaches can be admired. 

The park also features a massive network of walking trails through 477 hectares of forest, heathland and high cliffs, opening out to a spectacular panoramic seascape.

Noosa's heritage goes back through many thousands of years of Aboriginal history - being the traditional lands of the Kabi people. Translations of the original name Noothera include 'place of shade' and 'perfect place'.
